🩵 Local Business Highlight
Utz Quality Foods (Hanover, though their products are everywhere!)
This week, we're giving a shout-out to a true Central PA powerhouse:
Utz Quality Foods!
While headquartered just outside of our core region in Hanover (York County), it's impossible to cruise through the 717 without seeing those red and white bags.
Did you know the company was founded back in 1921 by Bill and Salie Utz?
They started by making small batches of potato chips in a spring house behind their home.
That means Utz has been perfecting the chip for over 100 years! They now produce over 3.3 million pounds of snacks per week.
Next time you grab a bag, just remember you're crunching on a century of local history.
🟩 Friday Fun Poll
Time for a serious, highly-contested local debate! The question is simple, but the loyalties are deep:
Sheetz or Wawa — what’s the real 717 fuel stop?
Are you loyal to the Sheetz MTO menu and coffee setup, or do you stand by Wawa's hoagies and specific fuel layout?
Hit reply to this email and let us know your pick and why!
We'll tally up the votes and share the definitive 717 winner in Monday's edition.
